REFLECTION 1. The camera got very up close and personal with Shaley's eyeball. (Picture 1) 2. Pointing the camera up and at an angle above my head. (Picture 2) 3. Picture 3 is cropped vertically. 4. Yes, Picture 5's white flower is using the rule of thirds, also picture 6's cupola, Picture 3's preying mantis, and picture 2's sun. 5.Picture 1, because shaley's eye has a lot to look at including the reflection of the school in the background.
I considered the rule of thirds in the last picture, the power line pole itself is in the thirds. My second composition leads the viewers eyes through the work following the power line. The last picture shows the lines and the cylinder of the power lines as well as other lines in the background. The last image best satisfies the assignment because the color values are more contrasted and easier to see, and the power line is using the rule of thirds.
How did you move beyond subject matter and make your images deal with surface quality, not just the subject of the image? I used uncommon angles and gut closer to the subject. Which of your images do you feel is the most captivating? Do you feel the lighting conditions made an impact on the quality of the images? The picture of the net, because the images holds the darkest black and the whitest white with a lot of gray in-between. If you could shoot one of them over again, which one would it be and why? The School, because the texture would of been shown easier the more up close I got, but I decided to get the whole picture.
